The Importance of Supplier Training
July 4, 2017 | Stephen Las Marias, I-Connect007Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
The human factor remains a critical issue when it comes to the overall efficiency of your PCB assembly lines. But how do you make sure your operators, engineers and supervisors have the proper knowledge and skill sets to perform at their peak levels, day in and day out?
In our recent survey on assembly training and education for the upcoming issue of SMT Magazine, one of our questions is the importance of suppliers—be it technology, equipment/machine, chemicals, among others—providing training to the assemblers/contract manufacturers. Majority of the respondents, or 38% consider this very important, while 29% said it is important.
They note that suppliers are the process experts, therefore they should utilize their resources as much as possible. Another comment is that the suppliers can introduce technology or knowledge that could help them address their issues in their respective areas.
To know more about the results of this survey, look out for the upcoming issue of SMT Magazine.
