June 20, 2018 | CL PCB Solutions GroupEstimated reading time: 1 minute
SCL PCB Solutions Group has completed the merger of its subsidiaries Ragworm and Stickleback with Spirit Circuits Ltd. The merger unifies under one roof three highly complementary businesses with an extensive range of specialist personnel, knowledge and expertise.
All three companies provide PCB services and solutions to the electronics manufacturing industry as part of the SCL PCB Solutions Group of companies: Stickleback is a specialist provider of high-quality large-format PCBs; Ragworm provides a fast turnaround online ordering portal for small/medium volume prototype PCBs, while Spirit Circuits offers small to medium volume British-made high-quality and high-reliability PCB manufacturing & VAR services to European customers. The merger is aimed at simplifying and streamlining the group’s corporate and operational structure, to maintain and build upon its distinct competitive advantage, flexibility and emphasis on technical & customer service.
Led by the tagline “We are serious about PCBs,“ the merged companies will be in an even stronger position to continue to create innovative services, improve operational efficiency and meet customer needs by concentrating and centralising business resources. Together with SCL PCB Solutions Group companies including Lyncolec, BATM Romania SRL and Spirit Circuits Asia, Spirit Circuits Ltd. adds significant strategic value, differentiation and competitive advantage.
The Ragworm brand name will be maintained due to its unique and niche proposition of providing an economical PCB prototyping service used by professionals, hobbyists, designers and makers worldwide, whilst the Stickleback brand will be absorbed into Spirit Circuits.
