In a recent survey, we asked the following question: What are your biggest problems related to flex design? Here are just a few of the answers, edited slightly for clarity.

  1. Designing without knowing the design requirements.
  2. Mechanical dimensioning/sizing to fit the required application.
  3. Complexity: We don’t do enough flex to get good at it.
  4. No real issues. We’ve gained a lot of knowledge over the years.
  5. Flex cannot carry the current needed.
