Invotec Features PCB Mfg Capability at Paris Space Week

Reading time ( words)

For Invotec, with our rich space heritage, Paris Space Week promises to be an excellent opportunity for us to demonstrate and promote the full extent of our capability in the highly demanding and fast-growing European space market.

Being held on the 4th and 5th February at Paris-Orly Airport, Paris Space Week is Europe's premier global B2B space event, dedicated to spacecraft, satellites, launch vehicles and space-related technologies. Bringing together industry leaders, buyers and suppliers, the event will feature an exhibition and a full conference programme as well as offering extensive networking opportunities for everyone involved in the civil and commercial space supply chain. Some 12,500 business meetings are scheduled to take place with 1000 decision makers from 40 different countries participating.

Invotec is in a very strong position to both contribute to and benefit from such an important forum. Our involvement in the European space market encompasses payloads, ground infrastructure and space equipment for a wide range of projects, including Inmarsat 4, Skynet 5, Alphasat, Gaia and Sentinel 1 and 2. Moreover, our space sector experience is complemented by an array of certifications. In addition to NADCAP and AS9100 Rev C accreditation, we are one of the very few PCB manufacturers to have been awarded two separate European Space Agency (ESA) approvals – initially for sequential rigid circuits and more recently for sequential flex-rigid circuits.

If you would like to meet in person to discuss any specific areas of interest, please contact Monique Berckvens, Ram Pall or Frederic DuPont.

I was introduced to liloTree and Chief Scientist Kunal Shah by Joe Fjelstad. It seems this small company (with Intel as part of its pedigree) has developed a novel ENIG process that just may shake up the regular chemistry suppliers. This new process is described as cost-effective and ecofriendly while completely eliminating black pad and brittle solder joints.
