Flexible PCB supplier Flexium Interconnect is expected to achieve significant profit growth this year, mainly due to orders for Apple's iPhone 6 models, according to a Digitimes report.
In 2014, Flexium recorded an EPS of NT$6.71—down from its average EPS for the previous three years (2011, 2012 and 2013)—due to weaker-than-expected shipments in the first half of 2014 as a result of disappointing iPhone 5C sales. Flexium generated an EPS of NT$3.28 in the first quarter of 2015; but amid growing shipments, the FPCB supplier is set to post strong profits in the first half of the year, and continue to enjoy impressive results in the second half.
Flexium's EPS is expected to top NT$12 in 2015 and set a new record, the report added.

I’ve been in the industry for 39 years and I feel more like a craftsman than ever before—trying to figure out how to produce the impossible and maintain a profit. With smaller features, exotic materials, endless plating, and press cycles, the industry feels like it is in transition. Soon enough the lines between microelectronics and PCB will be forever blurred.
Fane Friberg, CEPHAS
In this series, CEPHAS principal Fane Friberg highlights the interdependent elements of an effective S&OP process for leaders of supply chain management. While some companies tend to fall back on the status quo, Friberg highlights why it’s critical to actually increase the frequency of the S&OP rather than decrease the operations. He has reviewed the importance of staying committed, strategic imperatives, participation, technology, and rough-cut capacity planning. Today, he discusses suppliers.
