Mr. Hueners joined Palomar Technologies in 1981 when it was Hughes Aircraft and most recently held the position of COO. He was instrumental in elevating Palomar to the role of market leader in the optoelectronics industry, orchestrated a series of acquisitions and partnerships for Palomar, and has played a major role in expanding Palomar's business in the U.S., Europe and Asia.
He collaborated in the development of laser interferometric measurement and die attach and wire bond systems and processes, has written more than 50 technical papers, and currently serves on the editorial board of Advanced Packaging magazine. He is on the Board of Directors of the San Diego World Trade Center and represented San Diego on their recent trade mission to China.

Hueners received a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California, an MBA from Indiana University, and a Certificate from the Executive Program for Scientists and Engineers at UCSD. He is a member of IMAPS, SMTA, IEEE, and the Optical Society of America. Bruce's interests include astronomy, gardening, and golf.
