Net sales of $213.4 million increased 4.3% versus the prior quarter resulting from higher sales in the AES and EMS business units. AES net sales increased by 4.1% primarily related to higher aerospace and defense (A&D), wireless infrastructure, industrial and renewable energy sales, partially offset by lower EV/HEV and ADAS sales. EMS net sales increased by 2.8% primarily from higher general industrial, A&D and EV/HEV sales, partially offset by seasonally lower portable electronics sales.

One year ago, President Biden issued a determination that chips and packaging are critical for national security. Since that time, much work has been done to continue the conversation in Washington, elevating the importance of the entire chips value chain, and including printed circuit boards and substrates, without which chips cannot operate.
